At the end of June, in Catalonia, we presented the KIT de Prevenció 01BSP400L / Catalunya, a new wildfire prevention kit developed together with Sipe Protection, Hispamast and the Federació d’ADF Bages-Moianès.

It is a first-intervention solution specifically designed to be installed on agricultural tractors and provide a rapid response to fire outbreaks that may occur during harvest and collection operations.

The harvest season is one of the periods with the highest wildfire risk in Catalonia. High temperatures, dry cereal crops and the use of agricultural machinery in areas close to forested zones create critical conditions where a spark, friction or overheating can trigger a fire outbreak in a very short time.

Rapid response in agricultural environments

The KIT de Prevenció 01BSP400L / Catalunya was developed to bring water capacity, pressure and operational autonomy closer to the point where the risk occurs. Its objective is to enable immediate intervention during the first minutes, helping reduce the possibility of fire spread in agricultural environments.

The module includes a 400-liter tank made of composite material reinforced with polyester and Kevlar, a high-pressure pump with a flow rate of 55 liters per minute at 40 bar, a 10 hp Briggs & Stratton engine with electric start, a 20-meter high-pressure hose reel mounted on a cart, and a professional nozzle with an approximate reach of 14 meters in compact jet mode.

Among its main advantages are single-operator use, quick installation and removal, optimized water consumption thanks to high-pressure technology, and a robust design prepared for intensive use in agricultural environments. It also includes a second low-pressure auxiliary outlet and comes with a 2-year warranty for the equipment and a 10-year warranty for the tank.
